Job title: Software QA (Quality Assurance) Analyst - Automation

The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating automated and manual tests of our applications. We are searching for someone eager to collaborate with our engineers to improve automated test infrastructure and enable rapid deployment of new features. The ideal candidate for the SQE engineering role will have a background in QA, in addition to having strong Windows skills. The primary focus will be testing our applications in a QA environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

- Create test plans and test cases for existing and new features

- Design, develop and integrate automated tests into existing automated testing infrastructure

- Complete work on schedule in an agile/scrum work environment

- Design, script and debug tests in various automation tooling

- Ability to collaborate cross-team to recommend improvements to test systems

- Promote the use of best practices within the team and make suggestions as necessary to improve the efficiency and quality of the work produced by the team

- Attend stand-ups’

- Define testability for feature areas

- Evaluate the coverage of existing automated tests and how to improve coverage

- May execute tests to validate non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, and reliability

- Use UI test tools and frameworks to improve automated testing of web interfaces

- Report on metrics that assess the quality of software products and software development process

- Evaluate and analyze test results for trends or common issues

- File and track bugs

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Technical Skills:

 

- Experience in Automation tools (Primary: Selenium, Sahi, JUnit)

- Experience with BDD/TDD (Cucumber/ gherkins / Ruby)

- Candidate who has used JavaScript frameworks like protractor, enzyme etc. inherently using the selenium webdriver

- Candidate who has set this up from scratch and used for functional/automation testing

- Candidate who has used this framework to seed data (over mq, xml etc.)

- Strong knowledge of automation testing best practices.

- System Management,

- Network Administration

- Database systems and applications

 

Education & qualifications:

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering along with considerable experience in Automation.

- 5-7 years of relevant QA Automation experience

- 3 + years of experience with Selenium

 

Area of Work Experience: Software development, Quality Assurance, Automation.
