FoodHwy CANADA Inc. (“FoodHwy”) is a subsidiary of Facedrive Inc. (CVE: FD). FoodHwy was established in 2014. After more than six years of development, we have become the largest Chinese food delivery platform in Eastern Canada. Currently, FoodHwy provides food delivery services to more than 400,000 users in 23 cities and regions across Canada.
Position Summary
We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website and mobile applications. This is a permanent, full-time position. As a Web Developer, you will be focusing on building our website and relevant mobile applications from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.
Responsibilities
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices with code editors such as Android studio, XCode, WebStorm, MacOS
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices including VUE and React Framework
- Create hybrid mobile application layout/user interface by using React Native and Flutter framework.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Request application interface with Postman and use Chrome to debug web applications
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Support Chief Technology Officer architect new features on all applications.
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site and mobile or hybrid applications (Web/iOS/Android)
- Stay alert to handle emerging glitches(bugs) and deal with them instantaneously on our websites and applications
- Stay updated with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 3-year work experience in web programming
- Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, Node.js
- Familiarity with the following programming languages: PHP, JavaScript, Java, MySQL, Swift, Kotlin
- Familiarity with Flutter UI framework under Dart
- Familiarity with Laravel based on PHP
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices, DOM
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, npm, Apache, Model-View-Controller (MVC), Linux, MacOS
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
- Strong organizational skills to deal with multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
Benefits
Hourly salary is $35.50/hour, 35 hours/week, 10 days paid annual vacation
