Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower
Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley as per company contracts.
Wage rate: $25.50 per hour for 40 hours per week
Education: Secondary (High) school
Experience: 2-3 Years
Language: English
Benefits: Relocation Expenses & Medical Insurance for first 3 months covered by
employer, if required.
Job Duties:
• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces using methods such as scraping; remove
old wallpaper and lose paint
• Mix and match colors of paint, stain or varnish with oil and thinning and
drying additives in order to obtain the desired color and texture.
• Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
• Calculate the amount of required material and estimate costs based on
surface measurements and work orders.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or
metal for finish coats.
• Use sanding and buffing tools to smooth surfaces.
• Fill/Repair cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other
fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
• May advise customers on selection of colors schemes and give cost
estimate
Work setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening
or on weekends, if required.
Work Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to
work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions.
