A private household situated in Dawson Creek, BC is looking to hire a Child Caregiver for their 5 year old son.

Position Title: Child Care Provider-Private Home (NOC 4411)
Wage: $16.00/hour, 40 to 50 hours per week
Overtime: $24.00/hour after 40 hours per week
Vacation Pay: Remuneration 4% Gross Pay

Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: Completion of Secondary (high) School, Completion of a training program in child care or a related field, First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training required.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills.
Main Duties: Bathe, Dress and feed children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, tend to emotional well-being of children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, help children with homework.
Specific Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
Work Setting: Employer's home. Optional accomodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment
