Network Administrator (NOC: 2281)

 

Pay range: $30-$32/hour

Job: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 40 hrs/week

  

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish, maintain, and troubleshoot connectivity (LAN & WAN), maintain servers, network, and workstations
• Evaluate, install, and maintain hardware, peripheral equipment and software applications
• Monitor and optimize performance of computer system and networks.
• Co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
• Perform routine network start up and close and maintain control records
• Set up, maintain and upgrade website web servers and Operating systems
• Provide problem-solving services to network users
• Implement internet & email solutions.
• Install and troubleshoot data backups and disaster recovery solutions.
• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications.
• Optimize server performance.
• Perform security analysis of computer network performance and quality control.
• Provide problem-solving services to network users
• Perform other duties, as required.

 

EDUCATION

Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or completion of related certification program
