Juan Construction LTD. is a local renovation and design company located in Surrey, BC.

We are looking for a Carpenter who will join our team and assist in the various residential and commercial renovation projects.

 

Job Title:

Carpenter (NOC 7271)

 

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

 

Work hours:

Minimum 30 hours per week

 

Hourly Wage:

$28.85 - $30.00 per hour depending on certification and working experience     

Overtime hourly wage of $43.28 - $45.00 if exceeds 40 hours per week

 

Benefits:

10 days of paid vacation, medical benefits

Work Location:

Various locations across the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia as company deals with multiple job sites

Job Duties:

 

  • Maintain, repair, and renovate private homes and wooden or concrete structures
  • Read blueprints and drawings, prepare calculations, perform layout 
  • Measure, cut, assemble wood or other materials by safely operating power tools, care and maintenance for tolls as required
  • Build and install wooden objects such as foundation, framing, walls, cabinets, doors shelves, and tables
  • Evaluate the possibility of desired design and size for the initial drawing and provide feedback if needed
  • Assist project manager in the cost estimate for each project

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry is usually required to be eligible for trade certification
  • Trade certification is not mandatory but preferred
  • Apprentices are welcomed
