Title of the position:
Hairstylist
Main duties:
We are looking to hire a Hairstylist to join our salon in Montreal, Quebec. The duties include:
- Suggest hairstyle and cut, style, trim, curl, and color hair
- Shampoo and rinse hair
- Keep the salon and their station clean and sanitary
- Stay abreast of current fashion trends and popular hair styles
- Maintain a strong inventory of hair care products
- Respect appointments on schedule
- Build and maintain relationships with regular clients
- Collect payment for services rendered
- Train and Supervise apprentices in hairstyling and helpers
Required skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience hairstyling
- Completion of college program in hairstyling or equivalent
Work Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods
Language requirements:
- French or English knowledge is a must
Terms of Employment, Wage and working hours:
Temporary Position for 2 years with possibility of extension (contract). Hourly wage of $18.00 for 35 hours per week.
Benefits package:
2 weeks of vacation per year as per the Quebec Law.
Private health insurance until RAMQ eligibility.
