Metal fabrication worker – sheet metal shop
Salary $27.00 per hour, permanent, regular, full time 40 hours per week.
Job requirements: Experience an assets/ will train, ability to use hand tools in metal fabrication at sheet metal fabrication shop, able to perform Repetitive tasks with manual dexterity and attention to detail, handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs), noisy environment. Personal suitability: flexibility, reliability, dependability, team player.
Duties: operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products, immerse metal products in cleaning solutions, assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers, sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment, clean machines and immediate work areas, read and interpret work orders, polish metal products to mirror finish, load and unload vehicles.
