We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual with experience in assembly operations to join our team as a Bicycle Assembly Supervisor. This person should share our ethos and ensure that our standards of service are met.

JOB SUMMARY:


The Bicycle Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising and organizing the duties of the bicycle assembly workers. We are looking to add to our company an individual with expertise in bike parts, materials, specialized assembly tools and bike building. This candidate will use their expertise to train and oversee our bike assembly employees. Delegating responsibilities among the bike assembly team and ensuring their work is completed accurately and within time frame is a crucial aspect of the job. The candidate will ensure the assembled bikes are of company standards before delivering them to customers.

 

JOB TITLE: Bicycle Assembly Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Coordinating and staffing the bike build schedule, according to need
  • Enhancing and refining bike building efficiency and quality
  • Assessing and ordering bike parts, tools and materials, as needed
  • Supervising the team of bike builders ensuring delivery targets are met
  • Guaranteeing a safe and organized building area
  • Ensuring safety standards are met at all times
  • Communicating with suppliers and manufacturers for warranty claims
  • Training bike assemblers in their job duties, while observing and monitoring their skill growth
  • Guiding the team to improve safety, quality, delivery times and overall cost effectiveness
  • Designing solutions to any encountered issues and providing methods for execution and resolution
  • Other related duties as required


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full Time, Long Term


HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week 


WAGES:  $28.00per hour


OVERTIME: 
One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations 

BENEFITS PACKAGE: 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a
    semi-monthly basis

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:  As soon as possible


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of Secondary School is an asset
  • At least 1 year of related experience
  • Experience in customer service is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English
