We Are One Composites Inc. operating as we are one is looking for a full-time permanent Bicycle designer.

Annual Salary: $95,000-$100,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Task and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the end-to-end development from prototype to production of composite and aluminum parts
• Efficiently incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans and procedures. Improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
• Provide technical support to new team members and managers
• Help teach and mentor other design graduate students from time to time
• Complete data acquisition and complete testing protocol based in real world stresses
• Conduct design quality control reviews
• Manage test builds and prototypes
• Manage preliminary testing of future prototypes
• Generate Build of Materials (BoMs)
• Obtain cost and material estimates from vendors
• Work with ERP system, tool orders, Item masters, planning, DOC control functions etc.
• Knowledge of shop floor in Assembly, Composites and Manufacturing
• Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
• Proficiently design and model using CAD from NX, FUSION 360, Creo and Fibersim
• Design and assemble test rigs needed for Fatigue and NDT
• Perform ground up designs from proof of concept to manufacturing

Requirements:

• Completion of college degree/diploma or higher in industrial design or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of experience in product design
• Experience in the cycling or similar industries is an asset
• Proficient in Auto-cad or similar product design software
• Personal Suitability: Multi-task, detail-oriented, self-motivated, innovative, problem solver, strong communications skills
• Language of work: English
