Tasks
Interpret welding process specifications, Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, Determine weldability of materials, Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, Finding the right pieces of metal according to the design, Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment, Utilizes standard welding and shop tools, equipment and measuring instruments to perform complex welding repair, fabrication etc.,Work of arc, metal inert gas(MIG}, and gas welding procedures, tools, and equipment used in structural repair of light and heavy equipment and a variety of different tanks to include knowledge of various types of steel such as cast componenets and aluminium, Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and fully automated welding equipment, Perform structural repairs on vehicles.
