Specific Skills
A line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of fooditems in all stations of the kitchen. Sets up stationaccording to restaurant guidelines. Prepares all food items asdirected in a sanitary and timely manner. , Prepare and cookcomplete meals or individual dishes and foods, Prepare andcook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian orchef, Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimatefood requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff inpreparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies andequipment, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintaininventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Cleankitchen and work areas, Manage kitchen operations
