Job Description
We’ve built on our reputation of offering great quality Tex-Mex food, fresh, fast, and without compromise. We may not be the only burrito in town, but we’ve certainly raised the bar. 1296283 B.C. Ltd dba BarBurrito operating at Unit 102 648 Terminal Avenue Nanaimo British Columbia V9R 5E2 is currently hiring three food counter attendants.
Job Duties
Take customers’ orders. Use Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill.
Collects payment from guests and make change
Serve customers at counter
Portion, assemble, wrap food and package take-out food
Keep records of the quantities of food used
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff
Clear and clean tables and trays in eating establishments
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand
Employment requirements
· No specific education requirements. No degree, certificate or diploma required
· No prior experience is required. On the Job Training will be provided to willing candidates
· Excellent communication skills in English
· Ability to stand in kitchen for long periods of time and carry out physical tasks
· Ability to provide consistent and reliable services in preparation of foods
Benefits
Tips 100% from customers. As per mutual agreement and BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
