Responsibilities
Tasks
- Oversee day-to-day retail store operations to ensure smooth functioning, high customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets.
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate store activities including sales, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise retail staff, ensuring performance standards and company policies are followed.
- Set employee duties, monitor productivity, and conduct performance evaluations; address staff issues and resolve conflicts when required.
- Manage inventory levels, place orders with suppliers, and ensure proper receiving, storage, and display of merchandise.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and in-store marketing initiatives to increase revenue and foot traffic.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally to maintain a positive store reputation.
- Monitor store budgets, control operating expenses, and review sales reports to assess profitability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and applicable provincial and federal laws.
- Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards at all times.
- Prepare reports related to sales, staffing, inventory, and operational performance for management review.
