Great Job Opportunity
1 x Permanent Full-Time Restaurant Assistant Manager wanted for “1609673 Alberta Ltd. o/a Golden Bell Sub and Grill Vietnamese Restaurant” located at Unit #101 - 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8. Wage rate is $36.00 per hour and works at least 30-44 hours per week. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay and continuous learning opportunity.
JOB DUTIES
- Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the daily operations of a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant.
- Assigning job duties to staff and supervising and monitoring their work progress.
- Monitoring manpower needs and recruiting staff and arranging training sessions.
- Setting up staff work schedules according to the restaurant’s needs.
- Conducting staff performance reviews and providing appropriate coaching.
- Responsible for controlling the restaurant’s inventory, while monitoring its revenues and modifying procedures and prices as often as required.
- Acknowledging customer complaints and providing appropriate and prompt resolution to the concerns.
- Ensuring health, safety regulations, and proper food handling procedures are followed according to the company’s high standards.
- Contacting suppliers and negotiating for the required food and other restaurant’s supplies and needs.
- Overseeing events and special orders for all occasions and catering services.
- Providing excellent customer service experience, while encouraging all the other staff and assisting them to do the same.

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Language: English
Work experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food service restaurant work environment. Experience in Vietnamese cuisine is an asset.
