Technician, telecommunications

 

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunication Technician to join our team in Acton, Ontario with minimum experience of 1 year to less than 2 years.

Duties

1. Complete and maintain test and service reports
2. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
3. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
4. Determine work assignments 
5. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet Access
6. Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
7. Repair or replace faulty cables, powder suppliers and amplifiers
8. Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
9. Splice, join and connect wires
10. Test equipment to locate transmission faults

Skills/ Qualification

• Should be capable of installing, maintaing and repairing of telecommunications and fibre optic networks
• Client focus and Flexible
• Initiative and Team Player
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills for network and connectivity issues
• Should be organized and Reliable
• Should have Driver G Licence and willing to travel

Qualification

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Language-English

Salary- $36.5/hr
