Job description-
Job Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment and handling procedures.
- Secure and obtain all permits and documentation required for cross-border and international shipments.
- Operate commercial straight trucks and tractor-trailers to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Monitor the overall condition of the vehicle, including tires, brakes, lights, and other essential systems.
- Collect and process payments and maintain accurate transaction records when required.
- Carry out minor brake adjustments to ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, routes, and operational updates.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo details, driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Properly secure, tarp, and protect cargo to ensure its safety during transportation.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A Secondary school graduation certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this job.
- No experience required, on-the-job training will be provided.
- A valid regular driver's license is often required to start the hiring process.
- AZ class license preferably be required.
- Background checks to ensure that one has no disqualifying criminal history.
- A good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards is crucial.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding road signs, and regulations, and effectively communicatingwith others.

- Salary - 40.00 hourly / 35 hours per week
- Overtime - 1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
- Vacation Pay - 4% on every pay period
