Job Description: Restaurant Cashier

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register, POS system, and payment terminals to process transactions accurately.
- Greet incoming patrons warmly, answer inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and ingredients.
- Accept cash, debit, and credit card payments and calculate accurate change.
- Pack and bag take-out food orders securely in accordance with restaurant packaging guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized checkout counter and service area at all times.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and provincial health standards.
Employment Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is an asset; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends.
