We are currently looking for a Child Caregiver-Private Home to take care of our children. Please see the following employment information.
Job Details:
1. Salary: $21 per hour
2. Hours: 30 hours per week
3. The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours will vary from day, night and evenings.
4. Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free
5. Work Location: 74 Seneca Hill Drive, North York, ON M2J 2W5
6. Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible
Job Duties:
1. Maintain a safe, healthy and organized environment for the children and perform light housekeeping duties related to their care.
2. Take children to and from school, appointments and activities when required.
3. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children and follow their regular meal and rest schedules.
4. Assist children with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding and maintaining personal hygiene.
5. Plan, supervise and participate in age-appropriate activities, including reading, games, crafts and outings, to support children’s learning and development.
6. Support the children’s emotional well-being, social development and appropriate behaviour in accordance with the parents’ instructions.
7. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
8. Keep up-to-date records of the children’s development, routines, and interest.
9. When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to children.
Requirements:
1. Completion of Secondary (High) School education is required
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset
4. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
