Home Support Worker

 

 

Our family in Richmond, BC, is looking for a Home Support Worker to take care of two seniors.

 

• Salary: $23.00 per hour
• Hours: 35-40 hours per week
• Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
• Work Location: 7680 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC, V6Y 4B9
• Must work in employer's/client's home

 

Job Duties:

1. Assist the seniors with bathing and other personal hygiene routines.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote seniors’ mental and emotional well-being.
3. Assist seniors in participating in daily physical activities, such as walking.
4. Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the seniors’ dietary needs and personal tastes.
5. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
   1. Keep family members informed about the seniors’ health conditions and general well-being through consistent communication.

 

Requirements:

1. Completion of secondary school education is required; higher education would be an asset.
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
3. Prefer to have a First Aid Certificate or a CPR Certificate.
4. Must be patient, friendly, reliable, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Must be able to speak and understand English.
