Salary: $41 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect formwork, base layers, and steel reinforcement to ensure correct setup before concrete placement.
  • Guide the proper pouring of concrete into forms or onto surfaces based on elevation and grade requirements.
  • Smooth out uneven areas and fill gaps on freshly poured concrete to create a uniform finish.
  • Prepare estimates and submit quotations for materials, labor, and overall project costs.
  • Adjust and level the top layer of concrete according to specified depth and slope.
  • Use hand and power tools to create the desired finish on concrete surfaces.
  • Apply curing compounds and sealants to harden and protect concrete during the curing process.
  • Perform waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoration on concrete surfaces to increase durability.
  • Repair or replace damaged sections of concrete to restore structural integrity and appearance.
  • Estimate material quantities and project costs to support planning and budgeting efforts.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is usually required
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically able to bend, crouch, and stand for long periods
  • Effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills
  • Good hand-eye coordination and sound judgment
  • Strong English oral and written communication
