Terms of employment: Full-Time; Permanent
Salary: $35.00 per hour
Number of positions: 2
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: Various locations in Lower Mainland (BC) as per company’s contracts
Job duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Finish surface of woodwork in houses and building, using hand tools and paneling.
- Precisely measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join lumber and wood material.
- Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
- Supervise other construction workers and follow safety rules and regulations.
- Prepare layouts using different measuring tools.
- Fit and install different trim items as required.
Position Requirements
- Completion of high School would be an asset
- Completion of apprenticeship program in relevant trade OR minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the trade
- Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory
- Ability to communicate in English
Note:
- Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1500 to interested candidates.
