Reports To: Farm Manager/Director
Responsibilities
As the Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our farm’s operations. Your daily tasks will include:
- Handling phone calls, emails, and correspondence with suppliers, clients, and partners
- Managing schedules, appointments, and farm event calendars
- Preparing and maintaining farm records, reports, and invoices
- Assisting with payroll and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Coordinating staff communication and supporting HR functions
- Organizing files (digital and paper) for easy access and compliance
- Supporting grant applications, regulatory documentation, and reporting requirements
- Assisting management in day-to-day administrative duties
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic farm environment:
- Education: High school diploma required; college diploma or degree in business administration or related field is an asset
- Experience: At least 1–2 years in an administrative or office role (experience in agriculture is an advantage but not mandatory)
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Excellent verbal and written communication (English or French; bilingual is a plus)
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills
