Salary: $36.60 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Surrey, BC, and various other job sites in the Lower Mainland area (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.
Position duties:
- Read plans and blueprints to calculate materials required.
- Cut, shape, and trim bricks, blocks, and stones to precise measurements using hand and power tools.
- Prepare, position, and lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and related materials to build or repair walls, foundations, and other structures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Build chimneys and fireplaces for residential or commercial buildings using bricks or other masonry units.
- Install bricks, stone, or similar materials to create decorative veneer finishes on walls or other surfaces.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
Position requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program in the relevant trade OR three years of work experience in the trade is required.
- English communication skills are required.
