We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead our international trade and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the preparation of import and export documents, coordinating customs clearance, managing shipments, claim duty drawback and ensuring compliance with international and domestic trade regulations. This role also involves supervising staff, liaising with customers, and supporting product development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the import and export and logistics team.
2. Review and approve commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading and other shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
3. Oversee customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with anti-dumping (AD) policies.
4. Coordinate international shipments and domestic trucking to ensure timely pick-up and delivery.
5. Verify product specifications and drawings for automotive parts to meet customer requirements.
6. Act as the primary contact between customers, internal departments, and external logistics partners.
7. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance.
8. Maintain shipment records and compliance reports for management review.
9. Draft open order report
10. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Job Requirements;
1. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in international trade, import and export operations, Customs clearance, or supply chain logistics, with administrative supervisory experience preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, international shipping, and anti-dumping (AD) regulations.
3. Familiarity with automotive parts and ability to read technical drawings.
4. Hands-on experience in preparing import and export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).
5. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems is an asset.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
7. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
8. Ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefit:
Monthly salary: CAD 4,800 – 5,000 (depending on experience)
10 days paid vacation annually, plus statutory holidays
